RAGE Blog Tour: Literary Escapism and Indigo Teen Blog

Friday, April 1st, 2011

Today we’re kicking off the RAGE Blog Tour! Throughout April, I’ll be visiting blogs and babbling about lots of things (say, Twinkies). And there’s a big tour contest — three people will win copies of HUNGER and RAGE, plus some extra goodies!

Today’s official tour stop is at Literary Escapism. In the spirit of April Fool’s Day, I do a post about my faux memoir, ROAD RAGE. :)

Bonus: I was interviewed by Indigo Teen Blog — and Death makes an appearance!

Getting hungry for HUNGER?

Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

October is here, and that means it’s almost time for HUNGER to officially hit the shelves! **happy dance** Release dates are interesting things: there’s the SHIP DATE, when the books leave the warehouse and are delivered to retail stores, and there’s the PUBLISH DATE, which is the official on-sale date. There’s usually a gap between these two dates of 1 – 2 weeks. For HUNGER, there was a 3 week gap.

What does this mean? For readers, there’s a good chance that HUNGER will be in stores before October 18. Lucky you!

I’ll be doing many blog tours this month, including Traveling to Teens and the Crossroads Blog Tour. I’ll also be at Bitten By Books, The Book Smugglers, Fragments of Life, La Femme Readers, Book Lovers Inc., Literary Escapism, SciFi Guy, and Amberkatze. And I’ll be doing a Big Idea over at John Scalzi’s Whatever.

And I’ll be around town too! If you live near the Albany, NY, area, I’ll be at Flights of Fantasy on October 18 and The Little Book House on October 30. And I’ll also be at Albacon over Columbus Day weekend.

And there will be new Post Mortem interviews. :)

Have a terrific weekend! See you online…

More about HUNGER in new interview

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

So you probably know I have an alter ego as Jackie Kessler, novelist for adults. I had the opportunity to chat with Jackie Morgan from Literary Escapism during the RT 2010 convention, and during the interview I talked a lot about HUNGER and the world of the Riders’ Quartet. (Yeah, that’s what I’m calling the Horsemen books. I like it. Has a nice ring to it.)

We talked about my adult series too, and why I went with a slightly different name for my young adult books. But I thought you might be interested in reading more about HUNGER and the Riders. And hey, if you’re into superheroes, my second superhero novel, SHADES OF GRAY (coauthored with Caitlin Kittredge), hits the shelves Tuesday, June 22, 2010 here in the US and in Canada. SHADES OF GRAY, like the first book, BLACK AND WHITE, is dystopian. Think Frank Miller’s THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, or Alan Moore’s WATCHMEN, or Neil Gaiman’s SANDMAN.

The interview is here.

If you want to preorder HUNGER, you can do that here, here and here (among other places).

If you want to preorder SHADES OF GRAY, you can do that here, here and here (ditto the among other places).

And another interview, this one talking more about SHADES OF GRAY, is here.

Both interviews have contests to win a copy of the first superhero book, BLACK AND WHITE. :)
