Today I visit Confessions of a Bookaholic for day 3 of the Crossroads Blog Tour of 2012! You can find out a little about BREATH, and learn five things about me that you may not have known. π
Meanwhile, I’m still reading Daniel Marks’ Velveteen, and I’m enjoying it hugely. I’ve never seen the afterword like this!
I’m also working on converting one manuscript from third person to first person. It’s a labor of love.
Don’t forget that comments are still open on the Authors Against Bullying post, for a chance to win signed books from me and A.S. King, who’s one of my favorite authors, and on the Velveteen giveaway post. Even if you already commented, please make sure it’s there – I had massive spam issues, but thanks to my awesome web guru, I have a new spam-b-gone in place. (As much as I like playing whack-a-mole, it gets tiring when there are more than 41,000 moles.)

It’s Day 2 of the Crossroads Blog Tour! Today, Judith Graves and I are at Late Bloomer Online! Come read our interviews, then follow the instructions for a chance to win a Kindle pre-loaded with 13 books!
Separately, I’ve been working on two things.
First, I’ve been cleaning up alllllllllllll the spam comments trapped in my PENDING section. (41,000+ spam comments! Yow!) Akismet has also been trapping my legit comments in the spam/pending filter too. UGH. I’ve been doing this manually, and I think I approved all of the legit stuff. BUT – if you’ve commented on the Authors Against Bullying giveaway post and/or the VELVETEEN giveaway post AND your comment hasn’t shown up, please repost! Both giveaways are open to comments until October 30.
Second, I’ve been working on a project for my Precious Little Tax Deductions. I originally wrote the piece in close third person…but now, for the revision, I’m switching it to first person POV. And guys…it’s working! I read the revised first chapter to my boys, and they loved it! Both boys said they preferred the story this way, in first person. My older son was riveted as I read to them, and my younger son (who’s a wee bit under the age range of the project at the moment) laughed at a good number of the funny lines. I’m thrilled! So I’m focusing on this project for them. Who knows? Maybe with no sleep over the next week, I’ll finish it before NANO. π

I am so behind the times. But then, my kids could have told you that.
Today is Day 4 of the awesome Crossroads Blog Tour!

Here is the official press release, posted on the amazing Judith Graves’ blog. In sum, 15 authors (including yours truly) are doing blog tours from October 22 through October 29. What do readers get out of this, besides a chance to be introduced to new-to-them authors and learn more about authors they already knew? As Judith says, “Participating bloggers will give away ghoulish amounts of SWAG donated by the authors, as well as inscribed copies of books by touring artists and a chance to win a Skype author visit from bestselling author Rachel Vincent.”
Cool, eh?
I’m touring with the fabulous Lucienne Diver! Here is our schedule:
October 22 – Narratively Speaking
October 23 – Electrifying Reviews
October 24 – Just Your Typical Book Blog
October 25 – Late Bloomer Online
October 26 – Book Faery
October 27 – Confessions of a Bookaholic AND A Simple Love of Reading
October 28 – Book Swarm
October 29 – Kid Lit Frenzy!

That’s right — LOSS ARCs have arrived!!! And one of them will be given away at the end of the Crossroads Blog Tour!!! So check out the official info, and go meet some terrific authors and bloggers. (And me too!)

Hey there! Sorry I didn’t post yesterday; traveling from New York to California sort of messed me up, time-wise. I’m at the RT Booklovers Convention this week — today I will be moderating the 1 pm panel about worldbuilding in urban fantasy.
Yesterday, I guest posted at The Book Smugglers, and Ana shared her thoughts about RAGE.
Today, I should be guest blogging at Presenting Lenore (who, by the way, recently scored a phenomenal deal, so please congratulate her!).
Remember to comment so that you can be entered in the ginormous giveaway for a chance to receive HUNGER, RAGE, and some other goodies!
And now, it’s off to the hotel gym. Rah!

Happy RAGE launch day to me!!!
Today I’m answering questions at Bitten By Books. And, bonus, Death interviews me! π
I’ll also be at Flights of Fantasy tonight at 7 pm, in Colonie, NY — and tomorrow, it’s off to LA for the RT Booklovers Convention!

Today we’re kicking off the RAGE Blog Tour! Throughout April, I’ll be visiting blogs and babbling about lots of things (say, Twinkies). And there’s a big tour contest — three people will win copies of HUNGER and RAGE, plus some extra goodies!
Today’s official tour stop is at Literary Escapism. In the spirit of April Fool’s Day, I do a post about my faux memoir, ROAD RAGE. π
Bonus: I was interviewed by Indigo Teen Blog — and Death makes an appearance!

Today, I’m guest blogging at Dark Faerie Tales, where I give a handy, dandy color-coded guide to the Riders of the Apocalypse. And, if you’re going to RT this year, I also posted my convention schedule. π
All throughout April, I’ll be doing a blogosphere world tour. Lots of guest posts; lots of interviews. Lots of RAGE reviews, eek!
In other news: I finally got my taxes off to my accountant (rah!!!) and I’m full-speed ahead on LOSS (double rah!!!).
And a reminder: If you’re in the Albany, NY area, I’ll be at the Empire State Book Festival this Saturday for a 2:45 pm panel called “She Blinded Me with Science Fiction,” followed by a Meet & Greet (aka, signing copies of RAGE) at 4:45pm. I’ll also be doing a reading at Flights of Fantasy on Monday, April 4, starting at 7 pm. Hope to see you there!
