On the Radio

I had the chance to read two chapters of HUNGER and talk about the book with Kathryn Laity, host of internet radio show Prose at the Rose. So if you’d like a sneak peek — er, listen — to the book, here’s the link:

Considering how nervous I was, I think I did OK, even though I stumbled over a few of the words during the reading (ack). Kate was a terrific host, and I’m thrilled she invited me onto the show.

Back to RAGE edits!

[Edited to add: Apparently, there was a problem with the link, so I removed it. Oopsie...]

Jackie, it was a delight to have you on the show and I must say I am eager to read the rest. One of my regular blog readers said today,

“I am champing at the bit for Hunger’s release. I enjoyed the interview very much. I look forward to the next one. :-)

So, you’re getting readers lined up! Thanks again for dropping by.

    Hey Jackie.

Just found your blog/information about your book after seeing a reference on Heather Brewer’s website. I’m looking forward to Hunger a lot! (I enjoyed poking around on the blog too.)

I’d love to hear you read the first chapters of Hunger – saw you had to remove the link. Is there another place you can direct us?

By the way – I hate matzah too – after the 4th day of Passover. Before that, it’s like seeing an old friend after a long time. But you know what makes matzah better, even after Day 4? Chocolate spread. Nutella will work, in a pinch, but if you have an Israeli grocery store anywhere around you, see if you can get Ayelet Hashachar chocolate spread. It’s amazing. I promise. (And if you can’t find it, I’ll send you some!) Just a tip for next year – instead of “Next year in Jerusalem” – “Next year with choclate!”

Hey, Anonymeet — Thanks for the matzoh tips! (Blerg. Matzoh.) Next year with chocolate!!!

Try this to link to the radio reading — not a link, so copy/paste in your browser:
